These photos are from what was probably
my most exciting encounter in Sharm. I was guiding a group of relatively
inexperienced divers at the Dunraven, when we bumped into this guy. He's
a 2.5m long Oceanic White Tip. He swam around the wreck in fairly strong
currents like he owned the place, totally fearless of us unlike most sharks.
He even came up behind a woman lagging back from the rest of the group and
gave her a sniff. She didn't see it luckily, but it scared me! |

He was occasionally passing well within
touching distance (although I didn't try!) |

Luckily I had my camera in my BCD, and managed to shoot
off a few photos while trying to keep the group together. Unusually he kept
making it hard for me by coming so close I just had one fin at a time in
the viewfinder. |
